On a perfect Sunday, the fam and I made our way to the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. We almost didn’t make it, on account that I am notorious for never filling up the car tank with gas. A habit that I am desperately trying to break. At any rate, make it we did and boy was I ever happy. You actually don’t need to park inside of the reserve but we did because we wanted to make the most of our time there. If you are just looking for a good photo op you can literally just park on the side of the road without paying.  However, if you aren’t pressed for time I highly suggest their park trails. They also have a shaded picnic area which we definitely made the most of. Remember that our bodies need fresh air and that Mother Nature is more than ready to heal our spirit.
