Matcha Tea + Marula Oil | #BeautyTalk

For the first time in my life I am having to deal with acne. Another common symptom of Lupus. I have grown to accept this challenge, because to me, true beauty lives in our souls . That said, I have always found a meditative and healing element in my beauty rituals. And it goes beyond skin care —it includes exercising, drinking enough water and eating healthy— no matter what it is, I have always taken great pride in taking care of myself. Through a little research, I found the perfect organic-all-natural duo that has really helped heal my skin. I hope you’ll give it a try. It works even if you don’t have problem prone skin.

Shine bright, darlings.

Skin Benefits of Matcha Tea

For centuries, green tea has been revered for it’s antioxidant properties. Matcha tea is a high-quality green tea that is harvested and whole grounded into a fine powder. Because of the way Matcha tea is produced it contains a lot more antioxidants than regular green tea. All of those amazing antioxidants work to repair the skin and prevent premature aging. Studies have also shown that it is great for reducing redness and inflammation. All great things if you ask me.

Skin Benefits of Marula Oil

Marula oil comes from the Southern regions of Africa. The oil comes from Marula fruit which grows on tress. The oil is then extracted from the fruit’s kernels in its stones. Marula oil is made up of 80 percent of omega-9 oil (Oleic Acid). Research shows that the higher the concentrations of Omega-9 the easier it penetrates the skin and the more rapidly it is absorbed without clogging the pores. Marula is higly effective at keeping your skin hydrated, replenished and smooth.

This treatment mask is best used during the night, especially before bed, since our skin replenishes and heals itself during sleep.
